.....Glacial Gold is abundant throughout much of the Midwestern United States, in fact some glacial gravel is far richer than most prospectors realize. You may have read or been told that Midwest gold is all very fine or is only found in thin, flat scales. The truth is, gold of all sizes can be found in the Midwest, from ultra-fine all the way up to hefty nuggets. The reason most prospectors only find fine gold is because they are looking in the wrong places. Fine gold can be found at almost any location in the glaciated region, because it is extremely common and easily moved by even a moderate flood. Pickers and coarse nuggets are much harder to move, they are only re-deposited by extreme floods. In this book I tell you how to find these kinds of rich deposits. There are literally “millions” of ounces of glacial gold to be had in the Midwest, shouldn’t you be getting your share?

Chuck, What a book! I've read through it and will probably read it several more times. As well as use it for reference. I was aware of a lot of the information through research of my own but you put it together in a very understandable manner. The strategy that you outline for surveying and sampling for gold is well presented and solid. The contrasts that you draw with "western" gold mining are well thought out and nessesary to consider when hunting gold is this region. With all of that it is easy to read as well. You are quite a writer. I would recommend it to anyone!
